SUND are very much focussed on assisting individual entrepeneurs and small businesses with product design and manufacture.

With such a strong affinity for start-ups and companies with smaller-scale, flexible business models we are quite unique in being able to offer the support such organisations need but are rarely afforded by large design-houses.

We assign a single-point-of-contact to every design project and keep that person involved should you choose to partner us into the manufacturing phase. Because SUND has both a design and manufacturing skill-set, it is the aim of our engineers to design creatively but always with mass-production processes in mind.

Our customers approach us at many different stages of design and we can help with every step of the creative process. Our services include:

  • Single Point of Contact: an experienced product-design engineer is allocated to you throughout your project.
  • Concept Development: based from discussion or basic sketches an initial design concept is created by your SUND designer.
  • Prototype Development: a SUND designer will assess an existing prototype and create drawings suitable for mass-manufacture.
  • Reverse Engineering: your SUND designer will take existing market-place products and replicate / ammend the design to meet your specific requirements.
  • Design Adjustment: existing engineering drawings are reviewed by your engineer and adjustments are proposed for effective mass-manufacture.
  • Materials Advice: a SUND designer will always recommend materials and manufacturing processes that are most applicable to your product.
  • Packaging Design: A SUND packaging engineer can be allocated to your project as either a primary or secondary point of contact.
  • Logo & Graphics Design: SUND has a strong background in branding and will bring resource to your project as appropriate.
  • Software Experience (2D, 3D, CAD, Solidworks, ProE etc.): As you would expect, our engineers are fully versed in all common engineering software packages and choose the most suitable for each stage of the creative design process.

Protecting your Intellectual Property Rights (IPR protection)

SUND takes the protection of your Intellectual Property Rights seriously. As a manufacturing company with a reputation for working with leading designers in regional markets, we cannot afford to risk any breach of confidence in regard to our IPR protection.

We are open to signing non-disclosure agreements with our customers. We work only with contract manufacturers who have no retail sales channels of their own, and wherever possible we arrange the production of components so that only yourself and SUND have complete grasp of a product's full design.
